Election Connection To Visit Hollywood City Hall
Wednesday, November 1
A representative from the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office will be at City Hall on Wednesday, November 1st from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  with their Electronic Voter Identification System (EViD). Stop by their table on the first floor to check your voter status, register to vote, update your voter information including name, address or party affiliation.

Regular City Commission Meeting
Wednesday, November 1
Regular Hollywood City Commission Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month, with the exception of the month of August. The next Regular City Commission Meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, Room 219 following the Community Redevelopment Meeting at 10:00 a.m.

Meeting agendas are posted to the City’s website, www.hollywoodfl.org, on the Thursday prior to the scheduled meeting. US441/State Road 7 Neighborhood Complete Streets Public Meeting
Thursday, November 2
The City of Hollywood invites you to the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Complete Streets Public Meeting on Thursday, November 2nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Boulevard Heights Community Center, 6770 Garfield Street in Hollywood.

The City is applying for an MPO Complete Streets Initiatives Program Award in excess of $8 million dollars. If the grant is awarded the City will begin planning for four mobility improvement projects in the Beverly Park neighborhood and neighboring areas east of US441.

While there will be no formal presentation, the public meeting will be a great opportunity for the community to see project information on display and staff will be available to discuss the proposed project, construction plans and answer questions and individual concerns.

Scope of Work
• Sidewalk installation in the Beverly Park neighborhood from Florida’s Turnpike/S 66th Avenue to SR7 between Pembroke Road and Washington Street
• Sidewalk installation within the area from N 56th Avenue to SR7 between Johnson Street and Sheridan Street
• Installation of bike facility along N Park Road and W Park Road from Johnson Street to SR7

Climate Ambassadors Training
Saturday, November 4
Calling all residents who want to become a Climate Ambassador in our community!  Broward County’s Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division (EPCRD) will be offering Climate Change Awareness & Communication Training throughout the year, with the first training scheduled for Saturday, November 4th at the Young At Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants will learn about local climate impacts and receive resources to help spread climate change awareness in our community. Emerald Hills Safety District Board Appointments
Deadline to Apply is November 6 at 10:00 a.m.
The City of Hollywood has created an Emerald Hills Safety Enhancement District, which is comprised of a five member Board of Supervisors. The City is seeking interested applicants to serve voluntarily on this board.  The application deadline is 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 for appointments being made by the City Commission at the November 15, 2017 Commission meeting starting at 1:00 p.m.

To be considered for an appointment, applicant must be a property owner within the District.  In the event a property owner is a corporation or a limited liability company, the applicant shall be an officer of the corporation or member or manager of the limited liability company. The boundaries of the District are: North Hills Drive from N 56th Avenue east to Sarazen Drive.  Sarazen Drive north to North 41st Street.  North 41st Street west to North 48th Avenue.  North 48th Avenue west to North 46th Avenue.  North 46th Avenue south to waterways, and then west on the waterways to North 56th Avenue.  North 56th Avenue north to North Hills Drive.

Once appointed to serve, the applicant will be required to file the Statement of Financial Interest Disclosure Form 1, as required by Florida Statute 112.314(1)(a). All completed interest forms must have a resume attached and be returned to the Office of the City Clerk at Hollywood City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Host Noise Study Workshops
November 13-17 
The public is invited to attend one of five workshops to learn more about the Part 150 Noise Compatibility Planning Study for Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The workshops will include displays and information on the study process, project schedule, introduction to noise, and modeling aircraft noise exposure. Staff will be on-hand to answer questions and concerns one-on-one. No formal presentation will be given. Feedback received will be considered throughout the development of the Study. Parking is free at all the locations.

The necessary repairs have been made to the circulation pump at the Driftwood Community Swimming Pool. The pool is now open to public for Open Swim and the regularly scheduled Aquatic Programs.
