Full Bridge Closure along SR 822/Sheridan Street over the Intracoastal Waterway until October 15th.

An update from the Florida Department of Transportation ( FDOT)
Sheridan Street Bridge

Thank you for your interest in the FDOT SR 822/Sheridan Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project. Public safety is FDOT’s top priority and we appreciate your patience as we continue to coordinate with local partners and the contractor to deliver a high-quality facility. Due to ongoing supply chain issues with some of the new electrical and mechanical bridge components, the full bridge closure period will be extended through October 15, 2022, to allow for the completion of the bridge rehabilitation. Additionally, weather has delayed some exterior operations such as painting of the steel as work is shut down during lightning, heavy winds, and rain. The Department is expediting the remaining scope of work and the contractor has committed crews to work around-the-clock to reopen the bridge as soon as possible.  The Department is committed to delivering a safe and successful project to the community as quickly and safely as possible.

Thank you,
FDOT Broward Construction
